History of our kennel 
A passion for dogs

I started my kennel and was granted my affix, “du Domaine de Chanteloup”, in 1986 with Yorkshires Terriers.

My passion for selecting the best dogs naturally led me to decide to show my dogs, but the detailed grooming required by my small four-legged Yorkshire friends became too demanding on my time, since I had a “real” job in another field. Thus, one of my childhood dreams finally came true when I purchased an Italian Greyhound bitch, “Feeling des Trois Pyramides”, and my love story with this breed began.

Feeling  was an exceptional bitch, both for breeding and showing. She earned her championship title in France and Luxembourg, became an International Champion and was a loving mother to many of our champions to come.
My first litter was born in 1992 and included “Hutopie”, who was the first champion to be born at Domaine de Chanteloup and to carry my affix.
 

Similar ideas about breeding the best dogs created strong ties of friendship and respect with Sylvie and Jean-Luc Juin, the owners of the “Trois Pyramides” kennel, and we decided to go into partnership. I was able to benefit from their ten years of experience as breeders. From that time on, many of my puppies were to carry this affix.

While attending dog shows, I met Jean Laveyssière, another owner showing Italian Greyhounds. He became my husband, and we are now the proud parents of a son, Cyril.

In 1999, following changes in our personal life and Sylvie and Jean-Luc Juin’s retirement from active breeding, my husband and I decided to continue with all the dogs using only the affix, “du Domaine de Chanteloup”.

Since that time, our kennel has been honoured to win the Grand Prix of Breeders in France and our love of the marvellous Italian Greyhound has remained as strong as ever.
